More Water Refilling Stations at Outside Lands

Published On December 2, 2013 | By Hannah Ellsbury | Articles, Take Action

For the third year in a row, Outside Lands festival goers were extremely frustrated with the lack of access to refillable water at this San Francisco music festival. In a festival space that covers 11 city blocks and with 65,000+ attendees, getting to the mere three refill stations was not easy.

This frustration motivated Maggie Aker, dedicated attendee, to start a petition asking Outside Lands to provide free access to refillable water. Not only would this change be another positive step for the festival in reducing plastic and promoting sustainability, but it will also promote the health and safety of festival goers.

A number of other music festival’s around the country already do provide free water to fill reusable bottles (Governors Ball in NYC and Ultra in Miami, to name a couple) — Outside Lands should follow suit!

Join Maggie in asking Outside Lands to reduce plastic and promote sustainability. Sign the petition now:
