A Book That Can Purify Contaminated Drink Water

Published On October 13, 2014 | By Hannah Ellsbury | Articles, Healthy, New Product

A paper that purifies drinking water, you say? Chemist Theresa Dankovich, Ph.D., invented the paper filters, and in collaboration with WATERisLIFE, hopes to distribute them to their primary sites in Ghana, Kenya, India, and Haiti.

The paper reduces 99.9% of water’s bacteria count, using microscopic silver particles that kill diseases like cholera, E. coli, and typhoid coat each page along with educational messages about safe water habits.

The Drinkable Book works in 3 easy steps: tear out a filter, slide it into the custom filter box, and pour the contaminated water through. Each filter is capable of providing up to 30 days of clean water and each book can provide up to 4 years of purified water!
